CAIRO, Ill. -- Edna Wilson, 93, of Cairo died Saturday evening, May 26, 2001, at the Abbey of Carbondale in Carbondale, Ill.
Mrs. Wilson was born July 4, 1907, in McCracken County, Ky., the daughter of the late Francis and Eudora Scott Brown. She was married to Opal Wilson, who preceded her in death in 1974.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Ruth Hanle, one son, LeRoy Wilson, and two sisters, Bela Mae Trainor and Clevie Brown.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Paducah, Ky.
She is survived by two daughters, Dalana Watson, of Carbondale, Ill., and Idell Tolson, of Cobden, Ill.; one son, Bobby Wilson of Cairo, Ill.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation is at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, where friends may call from 11 a.m. Wednesday until time for services. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with the Rev. Encil Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Ken.
