Edna Marion Waldron, 88, died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 6, 1908, at Bloomfield, daughter of Thomas Baker and Minnie Moore Baskerville. She and Leonard V. Waldron were married Nov. 1, 1936, at Malden. He died June 21, 1991.

A 1926 graduate of Bloomfield High School, she worked at Stoddard County Trust Co., and Bloomfield Bank and Trust Co. She then worked 10 years at First Security State Bank in Charleston.

The Waldrons moved to Farmington in 1946 from Charleston; to Cape Girardeau in 1962; to Bloomington, Ind., in 1964; and back to Cape Girardeau in 1973.

Waldron was active in the United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts, and PTA. She was an artist, with her specialty being still life outdoor scenes. Her paintings are hung in homes and offices across the United States.

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Waldron of Jackson, Charles Waldron of Martinsville, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. to service time.
