ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Edna C. Wachter, 90, of Altenburg died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 9, 1910, at New Wells, Mo., daughter of Paul and Bertha Agnes Thauwald Reisenbichler. She and Leo R. Wachter were married May 20, 1934. He died Sept. 11, 1982...

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Edna C. Wachter, 90, of Altenburg died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at her home.

She was born Dec. 9, 1910, at New Wells, Mo., daughter of Paul and Bertha Agnes Thauwald Reisenbichler. She and Leo R. Wachter were married May 20, 1934. He died Sept. 11, 1982.

Wachter was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include five sons, Ruben and Edward Wachter of Altenburg, Norman and Allen Wachter of Jackson, Mo., Raymond Wachter of Huron, S.D.; a daughter, Charlotte Wachter of Altenburg; a sister, Viola Vernon of Overland Park, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-8 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ronald Paseur officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
