Edna Lucille Schabbing, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born June 11, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Arthur and Ella Schwab Job. She and Albert C. Schabbing were married Oct. 25, 1944, in Cape Girardeau.
Schabbing attended Campster School. She helped operate a dairy farm west of Cape Girardeau until retiring. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, and had been a leader in Campster 4-H Club.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Schabbing of Metropolis, Ill.; four daughters, Judy Menz of Sikeston, Mo., Barbara Diebold and Cathy Moran of Kelso, Mo., Patricia Baker of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Albert Job of Cape Girardeau and Clarence Job of Kelso; two sisters, Virginia Conley of Cape Girardeau and Louise Schlosser of Oran, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
