Edna Mae Ryan, 82, of Granite City, Ill., died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Stearns Nursing Home in Granite City. She was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Campbell, Mo., daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Linda Mae Blevins Sanders. She and Jack James were married Oct. 12, 1946. He preceded her in death. She and Harold Ryan were married Nov. 29, 1975, in Chicago. He also preceded her in death...

Edna Mae Ryan, 82, of Granite City, Ill., died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Stearns Nursing Home in Granite City.

She was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Campbell, Mo., daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Linda Mae Blevins Sanders. She and Jack James were married Oct. 12, 1946. He preceded her in death. She and Harold Ryan were married Nov. 29, 1975, in Chicago. He also preceded her in death.

Ryan had been a bookkeeper for Penske Trucking Co.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Harrison of Cape Girardeau, Patricia Smith of Genoa, Ill., Barbara McCoy of Granite City; a brother, Edward Sanders of Sikeston, Mo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
