BERTRAND -- Edna Phillips, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born March 28, 1912, at Bertrand, daughter of Jesse and Daisy Williams Hurley. She and Joseph Nelson Phillips were married Dec. 28, 1929. He died Jan. 17, 1994.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Abernathy, Charleston Route 3, Voneita Myracle of Bertrand; two sisters, Ola Berry of Bertrand, Bertie Chaney of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 3-9 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Danny Tackett officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
