ULLIN, Ill. -- Edna Mae McHarry, 84, of Ullin died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Ullin, daughter of Nathan Gilbert and Sarah Olive Tramel Melvin. She and William Edwin McHarry were married March 26, 1934. He died in 1975.
McHarry was a member of First Baptist Church in Ullin, Caledonia Chapter 587 Order of Eastern Star, and Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include five daughters, Evelyn Rarrick and Shirley Rhodes of Ullin, Mary Wood and Terri Brindley of Karnak, Ill., Sarah Petree of Romulus, Mich.; five sons, William "Bud" McHarry of Thebes, Roy, Hueitt "Jake," David and Timothy McHarry, all of Ullin; a brother, Junior Melvin of Ullin; a sister, Mary Seals of Ullin; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and 10 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Martin officiating. Burial will be in Ullin Cemetery.
