Edna E. Hardman, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 26, 2004, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Oct. 6, 1907, at Patton, Mo., daughter of Wilbert E. and Jenny Shell Seabaugh. She and Oren J. Hardman were married on Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Louis, Mo. He died May 5, 1991...

Edna E. Hardman, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 26, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 6, 1907, at Patton, Mo., daughter of Wilbert E. and Jenny Shell Seabaugh. She and Oren J. Hardman were married on Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Louis, Mo. He died May 5, 1991.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Hardman attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years. She first taught at the Seabaugh Grade School for two years in Patton, Mo. She worked for 10 years at Famous Barr in St. Louis; five years as a bookkeeper at an auto agency in Caruthersville, Mo., and then at a pharmacy in St. Louis before moving to Cape Girardeau in May 2000. Hardman was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 161 of Florissant, Mo., Order of the Amaranth.

Survivors include three nieces, Sonja Petras of Monticlair, Calif., Brenda Strauch of Tehachapi, Calif., Sharon Thompson of Fullerton, Calif.; three nephews, Keith Seabaugh of Jackson, Jerry Seabaugh of Conroe, Texas, Donald Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; 14 great-nieces and nephews; 32 great-great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Joel Herbert officiating.

Entombment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Valhalla Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Louis, followed by services by Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 161.
