BLOOMFIELD -- Edna Gillespie, 99, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, April 29, 1993, at Bloomfield Nursing Center.
She was born March 6, 1894, at Leora, daughter of D.L. and Laura Clodfelter. She and S.E. "Gus" Gillespie were married Oct. 8, 1910, at Puxico. He died Oct. 20, 1968.
Gillespie was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include four sons, Bonnie and Dwight Gillespie of Bloomfield, Walter Gillespie of Charlotte, N.C., Donald Gillespie of Englewood, Ohio; four daughters, Geneva Siler of Puxico, Virginia Rosasco of Potosi, Clara Bolen of Palm Desert, Calif., Vergia Tiller of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two sisters, Marie White of Dexter, Nora Wilson of Clearwater, Fla.; 43 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and three sons.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Arvil Huffman and Kevin Eskew officiated, with burial in Leora Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
