Edna Wilma Frede, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Feb. 8, 1908, at Shawneetown, Mo., daughter of Stephen and Mathilda Landraf Kasten. She and Walter A. Frede were married June 16, 1946, at Cape Girardeau. He died June 12, 1985...

Edna Wilma Frede, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1908, at Shawneetown, Mo., daughter of Stephen and Mathilda Landraf Kasten. She and Walter A. Frede were married June 16, 1946, at Cape Girardeau. He died June 12, 1985.

She was a graduate of Central High School and member of Trinity Lutheran Church and also of the Ladies Guild. She had worked at Hirsch's Store as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by many cousins.

Friends may call from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park.
