A memorial service for Edna Marie Grossheider Flanigan will be held at 11 a.m. March 26 in the chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery at I-70/Lucas-Hunt Road in St. Louis. The Rev. David Hirsch of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the chapel prior to service.
Mrs. Flanigan, 83, of Aiken, S.C., and formerly of St. Louis, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center in Aiken. She is the widow of Patrick Leonard Flanigan.
She was born in Gordonville, daughter of Alvin John and Elsie Amolie Marie Graden Grossheider. She was a resident of St. Louis many years where she was a hairdresser, prior to coming to Aiken in June 2001.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine Neighbors, Mo. Upon her move to South Carolina, Mrs. Flanigan became a member of Lutheran Church by the Lake in McCormick.
Mrs. Flanigan is survived by six sisters, Lorene Grossheider of Aiken, Ruth Cropp of Nevada, Mo., Roberta Robinson, Audrey McHenry and Eleanor Haman, all of Cape Girardeau, and Barbara Venz of McCormick.
In addition to her parents and husband, a sister, Frances McNeely, preceded her in death.
