MCGEE, Mo. -- Edna Cato, 94, of McGee died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 4, 1909, at McGee, daughter of John and Louisa Payne Stephens. She and Charlie Cato were married Feb. 12, 1930, at McGee. He died Feb. 26, 1993.
Cato was a member of Shady Dell Church.
Survivors include two sons, Verdell Cato of Caruthersville, Mo., Don Cato of Advance, Mo.; two daughters, Ann Kempf of Bridgeton, Mo., Carolyn Walker of McGee; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ray Placher and Jack Leslie officiating. Burial will be in McGee New Hope Cemetery at McGee.
