PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Edna L. Buchheit, 98, of Perryville died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Independence Care Center.
She was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Perry County, daughter of Louis and Anna Meyer Meyer. She and Theodore "Ted" Buchheit were married in 1933 at Apple Creek, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Buchheit had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, as well as the Ladies Sodality. She was also housekeeper at St. Joseph Parish many years.
Survivors include four sons, Clarence Buchheit of Perryville, Earl Buchheit of Cape Girardeau, Kenny Buchheit of Apple Creek, Ronnie Buchheit of Wentzville, Mo.; a daughter, Stella Moore of St. Louis; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Allen and Larry Buchheit; seven brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek. The parish wake will be at 5. Visitation will continue Friday at the church.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Tony Datillo officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery at Apple Creek.
