Edna Mae Allen, 91, of Jackson died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 9, 1912, at Gordonville, daughter of Otto and Lillie Harmon Miller. She and Cleo Allen were married on Aug. 5, 1946, at Jackson. He died Oct. 26, 1967.
Allen lived in Caruthers-ville, Mo., from 1946 to 1952 and in Riverside, Calif., from 1952 to 1967. She then moved to Jackson, where she owned and operated Edna Mae's Beauty Shop until 1976. Allen a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Steve Allen of Encinitas, Calif.; a sister, Louise Nickerson of Saugerties, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and Tuesday after 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate with burial at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
