MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Edith Woodfin, 92, of Marble Hill died Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Elder Care of Marble Hill.

She was born Aug. 30, 1914, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Marvin Wesley and Lou Della Francis Eaker. She and Louis Woodfin were married April 16, 1938, at Bloomfield, Mo.

Woodfin was an active member of the Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for several years and a member of the WMS. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Rebecca Lodge, the Hog Creek Extension Club and was a district representative for the PTA.

Survivors include a son, Marvin Louis Woodfin of Marble Hill; three daughters, Shirley Deck of Marble Hill, Evelyn Stover of Cape Girardeau and Wanda Hoffmeister of Mandeville, La.; a sister, Ethel Statler of Marble Hill; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ernest Marvin Eaker.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church in Marble Hill, with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
