SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Edith Jane Perr, 88, of Scott City died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at her residence. Perr was born Jan. 16, 1913, at Olathe, Kan., daughter of Ruben Weaver Welsh and Pearl S. Jones. She and Henry Ernest Perr were married May 16, 1943, at Cape Girardeau. He died May 18, 1998...

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Edith Jane Perr, 88, of Scott City died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at her residence.

Perr was born Jan. 16, 1913, at Olathe, Kan., daughter of Ruben Weaver Welsh and Pearl S. Jones. She and Henry Ernest Perr were married May 16, 1943, at Cape Girardeau. He died May 18, 1998.

She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. She also participated in the VFW Post 6407 Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies Aid at church.

Survivors include three sons, Mark Perr of St. Louis, Howard Perr and Doyle Perr, both of Scott City; three daughters, Jane Perr of West Frankfort, Ill., Lois Buie of Mitchell, Ind., and Martha Mayville of Midlothian, Texas; a half brother, Jerry Schwartz of Joplin, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may callfrom 5-8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City and at Eisleben Lutheran Church from 9-11 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Azinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
