EDITH PEELER

VIENNA, Ill. -- Graveside service for Edith M. Peeler of Vienna, formerly of Dongola, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Dongola American Legion Cemetery. The Revs. Steve Wilkinson and Ron Cox will officiate.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.

Peeler, 86, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, at Hillview Healthcare Center in Vienna.

She was born Dec. 14, 1910, in Franklin County, daughter of John Edwin and Eva Elizabeth Watson Smith. She and Teddy Peeler were married Aug. 19, 1928, in Union County. He died Oct. 20, 1977.

Peeler was a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Dongola.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Velma Smith of Goreville and Mildred Peeler of Anna.

She was preceded in death by a son, and two brothers.
