Edith K. "Gram" Leimer, 88, of Jackson died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 13, 1917, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Charles P. and Edna McLane Kasten. She and Norman W. Leimer were married May 12, 1935. He passed away May 25, 1999...

Edith K. "Gram" Leimer, 88, of Jackson died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 13, 1917, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Charles P. and Edna McLane Kasten. She and Norman W. Leimer were married May 12, 1935. He passed away May 25, 1999.

Mrs. Leimer was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She was a former teacher at Old Appleton, Sandy Ridge, and St. Paul Lutheran Schools and had taught elementary education in the Jackson School District for 43 years, retiring in 1979.

Loving survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. "Gene" Leimer and his wife, Rita; two grandsons, Richard Mark Leimer of Old Appleton, Philip Leimer and wife Leanna of Jackson; a granddaughter, Michele Beussink and husband Tom of Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Hadleigh and Landon Beussink; a great-stepgrandson, Collin Salvo.

Friends may call Monday, June 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Saxony Lutheran Scholarship Fund or to the Immaculate Conception School Building Fund.
