BELL CITY -- Funeral service for Edith Jennings of Bell City will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Louis Gardner of Bell City will officiate and burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bell City.

Mrs. Jennings died Thursday at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was 82.

She was born Feb. 2, 1908 at Bell City, the daughter of the late William and Nellie Gilles Pyle.

In 1937, she married John Jennings at Benton. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Ann Jennings of the home; a brother, Billy Pyle of St. Louis; and three sisters, Ethel Mason of Scott City, and Hazel Robak and Effie Sissum, both of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers.
