EDITH C. RHODES

MARBLE HILL -- Edith C. Rhodes, 78, of Marble Hill, died Saturday, May 8, 1993, at Bond Nursing Care Center in Marble Hill.

She was born Oct. 19, 1914, at Glen Allen, Mo., daughter of Marvin and Lula Buehler Walker.

She was married to Ernest Rhodes, March 25, 1938. He died May 22, 1975.

Rhodes was a member of the Glen Allen United Methodist Church. She was active in the various church organizations.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Rhodes of High Ridge, Mo., Larry Rhodes of New Wells, Mo., Richard Rhodes of Marble Hill; three brothers, Ole Chronister of Glen Allen, Bill Chronister of Johnston City, Ill., Bill Chronister of Fenton, Mo.; a sister, Mildred Faries of Marble Hill; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Glen Allen United Methodist Church in Glen Allen, with the Rev. Rick Broadway and the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating.

Burial will follow in Glen Allen Cemetery.
