ADVANCE, Mo. -- Edith M. Blankenship, 86, of Advance passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 4, 1928, at Brownwood, Missouri, daughter of George and Flaura Bradshaw Nash. She and John Blankenship were married Jan. 7, 1950, in Advance. He preceded her in death March 29, 2002.
Edith was baptized in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, sewing and working in her flowers.
Survivors include a son, Tim Blankenship of Zalma, Missouri; two daughters, Pat Baker of Cape Girardeau and Ladonna Dalton of Whitewater; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until service time at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Rock Point Cemetery near Advance.
