SIKESTON -- Edith Mary Alice Adams, 79, of Sikeston died Saturday, April 12, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 30, 1917, at Cherryville to Edward and Edna Harris Pyatt.

She first married Floyd Harvey. She later married Ernie Adams, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include a son, Calvin Adams of Moberly; three daughters, Hazel Crader of Scott City, May Eberly of Sikeston and Wanda Cool of Dayton, Texas; two brothers, Red Carey of Fredericktown and Edwin Carey of Sikeston; a sister, Roma Garrison of Doniphan; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with the Rev. Jeff Arthur officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
