PERRYVILLE -- Edgar J. Schnurbusch, 74, of Perryville died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 2, 1924, at Apple Creek, son of Hugo and Louise Wichern Schnurbusch. He and Alma Clements were married in April 1953 at Biehle. She died in September 1976.
Schnurbusch had been a quarry worker. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek, VFW, and AmVets. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Mark Schnurbusch of Apple Creek; four sisters, Irma Meyer and Trula Baer of Perryville, Alice Schott and Viola Hrin of St. Louis; two brothers, Art Schnurbusch of Perryville and Alvin Schnurbusch of St. Louis.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight and the VFW service at 7:30. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Mark Bozads officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
