FROHNA -- Edgar O. Mueller, 83, of Frohna died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 24, 1916, at Altenburg, son of Anton Z. and Marie Asche Mueller. He and Lucille R. Moeller were married Sept. 3, 1939. She died Dec. 11, 1994.
Mueller had been the owner and operator of the Butcher Shop in Altenburg until 1962. He then owned and operated Dunkerton Locker in Dunkerton, Iowa, until retiring.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg and a past church elder and member of the board of trustees, school board and finance board. He also was a member of the Lion's Club.
Survivors include a son, Donald Mueller of Silver Springs, Minn., and Carole Ruehling of Frohna; a sister, Amalia "Mollie" Hemman of Overland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 13 brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons East Perry Funeral Chapel in Altenburg.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ahlert Strand officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
