PERRYVILLE -- Memorial mass for Edgar Joseph Modde of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.
Private funeral service was held at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Modde, 88, died Friday, Oct. 28, 1994, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born Aug. 7, 1906, in Belgique, son of Joseph and Sabina Layton Modde. He married the former Anita L. Holcomb.
Modde was owner of Pepsi Cola and Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. He was a charter member of Perryville Lions Club, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and associate member of St. Vincent Alumni. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Alfred Coronado Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Carol Epstein of San Antonio, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
