Edgar William Heinbokel, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 5, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 24, 1912, in Jones Ridge, Ill., son of William Henry and Mathilda Bremer Heinbokel. He and Myrtle A. Mangels were married April 28, 1935. She died Jan. 6, 1984. He later married Lilian Leimbach June 16, 1996.
Heinbokel retired as owner/manager of Frohna Feed Store. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church at Frohna and its Men's Club and Lutheran Laymen's League.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Allen Heinbokel of St. Charles; two daughters, Carole Heinbokel of Cape Girardeau, Emily Burroughs of St. Louis; two stepsons, Kenneth and Dennis Leimbach of Frohna; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; seven stepgrandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Concordia Church, with the Rev. Charles Weber officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
