SIKESTON -- Owen Edison "Ed" Nance, 76, of Sikeston, died Monday, Feb. 21, 1994, at his home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Puryear, Tenn., son of Arthur Aughtmon and Ida May Key Nance. He and Ruthie Lee Fletcher were married May 11, 1940, in Cottage Grove, Tenn.
Nance was employed 26 years at Barton Lumber Co., retiring in 1981. He was a member of Miner Baptist Church, Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310 AF&AM, Kingsway Chapter 144 RAM, Order of High Priesthood of Missouri, El Camino Council 52, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 137.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jolene Howell of Sikeston; two sisters, Elona Lampkins and Beuton Rhodes of Mayfield, Ky.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 by Sikeston Masonic Lodge.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dale Merritt and Lee Fansler officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
