VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Earl Victor Palmer, 73, of Hammond, Ind., formerly of Pulaski, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 1992, at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago.
He was born Nov. 7, 1918, in Pulaski, son of Earnest Melton and Della Mae Thurston Palmer.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Hammond.
Survivors are his wife, Carmen Palmer, Hammond; sons, Kenneth Palmer, Dongola, Earl T. Palmer, Madison, Wis., and Richard Palmer, South Elgin; a daughter, Marilyn Melton, McLeansboro; a stepdaughter of Hammond; a brother, Earnest "Tomcat" Palmer, Pulaski; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski. Fr. William McGhee will officiate, and burial will follow. Jones Funeral Home of Villa Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
