SIKESTON -- Earl Singleton, 87, of Sikeston, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, at his home.

He was born Aug. 31, 1907, in New Madrid, son of James and Arrie Morris Singleton. He and Norene Ables were married in 1931.

Singleton retired from International Shoe Co. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and was Sunday School secretary 15 years.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Vera Trousdale of Conway, Ark.; two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
