WHITEWATER, Mo. -- Earl Stanley Nation, 71, of Whitewater died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 23, 1931, at Illmo, Mo., son of John Louis and Lilly Florence Blankenship Nation. He and Corena Evelyn Bucher were married June 9, 1951, at Fornfelt, Mo.
Nation was a cutter at Thorngate Ltd. He served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Nation of Jackson, Mo.; two daughters, Joyce Wiseman of Pine Bluff, Ark., Mary Sue Dannenmueller of Montgomery, Ala.; five brothers, Paul Nation of Scott City, Mo., Gene, Richard and John Nation of Chaffee, Mo., Carlos Nation of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Lois Faegan of Sikeston, Judy Enderle of Chaffee; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
