EARL FRANKLIN ANTHONY

POPLAR BLUFF -- Earl Franklin Anthony, 89, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, June 16, 1995, at Doctors Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was the son of the late Frank and Nellie Hartle Anthony, a successful farmer and member of the Baptist Church.

He married Mary Opal Witt on Sept. 2, 1934, in Cape Girardeau County. She preceded him in death on April 23, 1990.

He is survived by two sisters, Irene Kuehle of Sikeston and Lorene Irwin of St. Louis; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Virgil "Shanks" Anthony, and a brother.

Visitation will be today between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Morgan Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Payne officiating.

Burial will take place at the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
