MARQUAND -- Earl C. Storie, 79, of Marquand was found dead Nov. 20, 1993. He had been swept from his car into the Castor River near Marquand on Nov. 14, 1993. MARQUAND -- Earl C. Storie, 79, of Marquand was found dead Nov. 20, 1993.

He had been swept from his car into the Castor River near Marquand on Nov. 14, 1993.

He was born at Waynesville, Mo., May 20, 1914, to Joe and Lucy McIntyre Storie. On Jan. 31, 1934, he married Katherine Hudson. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Earl R. Storie of Sullivan, Dean Storie of Glen Allen and Leroy Storie of Glen Allen; one daughter, Grace Borja of Long Beach, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

He was a retired auto mechanic. He had moved here from California in 1989.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Hensley De Spain.

Burial will be in New Trace Creek Cemetery near Glen Allen.
