Earl A. Bisher, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 31, 1934, at Oran, Mo., son of Joseph and Annie Baundendistal Bisher. He and Shirley Blechle were married July 8, 1961, in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Bisher attended Guardian Angel Grade School and Oran High School at Oran.
He attended St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. He worked for Union Electric and AmerenUE 32 years, and served in the U.S. Army until 1961.
Mr. Bisher was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Guardian Angel Council in Oran, Veterans Club of AmerenUE, VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau, Cursillo and Marriage Encounter.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bruce Bisher of Jefferson City, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Darren Davis of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Gena Bisher of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Rita Witges of Scheller, Ill.; three brothers, Simon Bisher of Cape Girardeau, Ferdinand Bisher of Saxton, Pa., Joe Bisher of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Christine and Ryan Davis of Cape Girardeau; a special aunt, Lorena Propst of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7, followed by the rosary by Knights of Columbus Guardian Angel Council of Oran.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Kiefer will officiate, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cathedral Grade School.
