JACKSON -- Earl E. Aufdenberg, 64, of Jackson died Saturday, June 19, 1999, from injuries he received in an automobile accident.
He was born Feb. 11, 1935, at Tilsit, son of Albert and Frieda Best Aufdenberg Sr. He and Marian Kuntze were married May 26, 1957.
He had been a prominent farmer in the Tilsit community for many years. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit, its fellowship committee, and had been a former elder and trustee.
He was a member of the Cattlemen's Association, SEMO Pork Producers and Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Soybean, Corn Growers, No-Till, Shipping, MFA Oil and SEMO Fair associations. He was a former MFA Agra-Service delegate.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rick, Mike and Steve Aufdenberg, all of Jackson; two daughters, Sharon Crites and Ellen Kirchdoerfer, both of Jackson; five brothers, Harold, Marvin, Albert, Leon and Robert Aufdenberg, all of Jackson; a sister, Evelyn Gholson of Jackson; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit. The Revs. Don Reder and Barry Pfanstiel will officiate, with burial in the Russell Heights Cemetery.
