OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. — E. Lucille Coursey, 106, of Olive Branch passed away Saturday morning, April 24, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Lucille was born April 4, 1915, in Benton, Illinois, daughter to the late Elic and Nellie Dillon Miller. On Aug. 6, 1933, at Rock Springs in Alexander County, she married Taylor Coursey.
She was a member of Olive Branch Freewill Baptist Church; a former member of Magnolia Garden Club in Mounds, Illinois; member of Willard Home Extension; and she was a housewife and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Coursey; her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Cecil Schwieger; daughter, Linda Haman and son-in law William Haman; three sisters; a brother; and an infant grandson.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Bruce (Mary) Schwieger, Dana Schwieger, Bill Haman and Robbie Haman; great-grandchildren, Chris Haman, Pedro Haman, Sarah Ressel (Alex Friedrich) and Logan Schwieger; great-great-grandchildren, Matti Haman and Miller Haman; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois. The Rev. Curtis Alderson will officiate. Interment will follow.
