SIKESTON, Mo. -- Dwight Thomas, 72, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1932, at Arbyrd, Mo., son of Emmett and Minnie Thomas. Thomas was a graduate of Arkansas State University and received a master's degree in criminal justice from Nova University. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Dwight Thomas, 72, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born March 28, 1932, at Arbyrd, Mo., son of Emmett and Minnie Thomas.

Thomas was a graduate of Arkansas State University and received a master's degree in criminal justice from Nova University. He was a trooper with Missouri State Highway Patrol seven years, and served 20 years with the ATF U.S. Treasury Department. After retiring he started Intercon Investigative Service.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two sons, Farley Thomas of Palm Springs, Calif., Clay Thomas of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lisa Clement of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother, R.J. Thomas of Senath, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was held Sept. 12 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd.
