SIKESTON -- Dwight K. Northcutt, 89, of Calvert City, Ky., and formerly of the Matthews area, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at the Calvert City Convalescent Center.
He was born Aug. 24, 1910, in Cerro Gordo, Tenn., son of John K. and Ida Prince Northcutt. He and Norma I. Alexander were married Sept. 30, 1928, at Swift, Tenn.
Northcutt was a farmer and had lived in the Big Opening community near Matthews. He moved to Calvert City in 1989. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Calvert City.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronnie K. Northcutt of Calvert City and Jerry Ray Northcutt of Vandalia; two daughters, Nita Faye Cooper of New Madrid and Barbara Mae Love of Wentzville; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
