PERRYVILLE -- Dwenda Lee Poinsett, 71, of Perryville died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, in Perryville. She was born Jan. 5, 1929, at Zalma, daughter of Glen C. and Reba I. Abernathy Speer. She and James A. Poinsett were married Sept. 14, 1946. He died Sept. 22, 1998...

PERRYVILLE -- Dwenda Lee Poinsett, 71, of Perryville died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, in Perryville.

She was born Jan. 5, 1929, at Zalma, daughter of Glen C. and Reba I. Abernathy Speer. She and James A. Poinsett were married Sept. 14, 1946. He died Sept. 22, 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Poinsett of St. Louis, James Poinsett of Dickinson, Texas; a daughter, Rebecca Howard of Hackettstown, N.J.; a brother, Glen Speer of Wentzville; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Thursday after 6:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Bass officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
