ADVANCE, Mo. -- Edgar "Dwayne" Abner, 77, was born Feb. 2, 1944, to the late Edgar and Ruby Woods Abner in Oran, Missouri, and departed this life Sunday, May 23, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Advance.
Dwayne married Nancy Elizabeth McCain on Feb. 8, 1966, and she preceded him in death Jan. 11, 2001.
On Feb. 14, 2003, he married Lu Ann Jenkins.
His loving survivors include his wife Lu Ann Abner; three daughters, Kimberly (Dale) Pobst, Heather (Jason) Lee and Amanda (Cole) Pence; two sons, Doug (Anne) Abner and James Abner; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Faye Pfeil, Judy Barchett and Janet Abner; two brothers, Jimmy (Vicky) Abner and Eddie (Margie) Abner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clyde and Karen Jenkins; sister-in-law, Jody Black; mother-in-law, Jenny Jenkins; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents and Nancy, Dwayne was preceded in death by two sisters, an infant brother and five brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
A graveside service will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Rev. George Rendleman officiating.
