ANNA, Ill. -- D.G. "Duffy" Sanders, 67, of Anna died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Wolf Lake, son of Thomas and Hallie Davis Sanders. He and Mary Joann Frick were married Nov. 24, 1955, in Jonesboro.
Sanders was a mechanic and a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Sanders of Midlothian; a daughter, Sandra Sanders of Mokena; two brothers, Teddy Sanders of Dongola, Arlie Sanders of Beverly Hills, Fla.; five grandsons; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3455.
