JACKSON -- Duell R. Grantham, 75, died Friday, July 3, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 17, 1917 at Sedgewickville. son of Ed and Eva Yamnitz Grantham. He married Jean Browning on May 19, 1945. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Tom Grantham, Eden Prairie, Minn.; brother, Kelly Grantham of Sedgewickville; three sisters, Ruby Nettler, Wilma Kuhlmann and Geraldine Kaiser, all of St. Louis; and two grandchildren...

JACKSON -- Duell R. Grantham, 75, died Friday, July 3, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 17, 1917 at Sedgewickville. son of Ed and Eva Yamnitz Grantham.

He married Jean Browning on May 19, 1945. She survives.

Grantham served in the Army Air Corps in World War II in the European and African campaigns.

He owned and operated Grantham Motor Co. in Jackson 30 years before retiring in the late 1980s. He worked part-time at the Texaco Service Station in Jackson seven years. Before moving to Jackson, he operated a garage at Patton.

He was a member of the Althenthal-Joerns Post 158 at Jackson and Elks Lodge 639 of Cape Girardeau.

Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The American Legion will have an honor guard service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
