Dr. Talmadge Thomas Warren, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 22, 1998, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Paducah, Ky., son of Winford Thomas and Elma Lee Skillion Warren. He and Naomi Nesler were married Sept. 23, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.

Warren attended Southeast Missouri State University, worked in the chemical industry six years, and received his medical degree in 1960 from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

His most recent practice was in Dexter, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Fredericktown Rotary Club, and the Masonic Lodge at Parma. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy from June 1942 to July 1947.

Survivors include his wife of Jackson; two sons, Thomas Warren of Cape Girardeau, Mark Warren of Kemah, Texas; three daughters, Linda Laster of Gretna, La., Mary Fox of Costa Mesa, Calif., Kimberly Beard of Jackson; two brothers, Roland Warren of Missouri, Deryl Warren of Marion, Ill.; a sister, Karen Kelly of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
