BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Dr. Stephen Parks of Bloomfield will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Don Cooper, Roger Foster and Andy Pratt will officiate, with burial in Rock Point Cemetery near here.
Parks, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1992, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Bristow, Okla., son of John Wesley and Virginia Stephan Parks. He married the former Francis Janice Kimbrel.
Parks was a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Stephanie Parks of Grand Rapids, Mich., Donna Belcher of Poplar Bluff, and his mother, Virginia Josefski of Ponca City, Okla.
