Choate, 85, died Friday, July 15, 1994, at Tucson Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 28, 1908, in Jonesboro, son of Robert M. and Mary Ellen "Mollie" Coffman Choate. He married the former Pauline Davis.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Paula Baltes of Tucson, Karen Robbins of West Hartford, Conn.; a sister, Margaret Choate of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and four grandchildren.
