Funeral service for Dr. John Nunnelee "Rick" Snider of Loudon, Tenn., was held Feb. 8 at First Baptist Church in Lenoir City, Tenn. Dr. Doug Alexander officiated, with burial in Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
Loudon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Snider, 59, died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997.
He was born March 19, 1937, son of John H. and Louise Nunnelee Snider. His mother formerly lived in Cape Girardeau.
Snider was professor of industrial engineering at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville 30 years, and had been department chairman 15 years. He was an accident reconstructionist, safety expert, and human factors consultant with Corporations Worldwide. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City.
Survivors include his wife, Terri; three sons, John Snider of Nashville, Tenn., James Snider of Clarksville, Tenn., Sam Snider; four daughters, Lori, Mary, Tomianne, and Becky McCullar, all of Loudon; and five grandchildren.
