SIKESTON, Mo. -- Dr. Jesse Winfred Page, 71, of Sikeston died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 10, 1929, at Chaonia, Mo., son of Henry Frederick and Estella Elizabeth Beaty Page. He married Florence Evelyn Hughey.

Page was a 1945 graduate of Wardell High School in Wardell, Mo. He received bachelor of arts and science degrees from the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo., and doctorate of medicine from Washington University in St. Louis.

He was a physician in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-57, and in the Air Force Reserves for seven years.

Page practiced internal medicine in Poplar Bluff, Mo., Mayfield, Ky., and the last 27 years at Ferguson Medical Group in Sikeston, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church, and numerous medical societies.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Page of Columbia, James Workman III of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Janet Kaseta of Satellite Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hunter Memorial Church. The Rev. Rufus McLean will officiate.
