ANNA, Ill. -- Doyle E. Schluter, 71, of Anna died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born Feb. 20, 1927, at Elco, son of William and Mary Knupp Schluter.
Schluter was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from the Postal Service in Chicago.

He is survived by a cousin.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
Funeral will be at 2 Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Poole officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
