Doyle E. Leine, 75, of Daisy passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at Monticello House in Jackson.

Born in Cape Girardeau to Eugene and Henrietta Engelmann Leine on July 4, 1944, Doyle was an only child. He and Margie Yamnitz were married April 1, 1967, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. They had been married 50 years when Margie passed away July 13, 2017.

Doyle was a 1961 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He served honorably in the Missouri National Guard from 1965 to 1971 and worked 23 years as postmaster in Daisy and Sedgewickville, Missouri.

Doyle was a faithful member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He was also a member of the American Legion in Perryville, Missouri, and the National Association of Postmasters, serving as legislative chairman and president of Missouri State Association.

Doyle especially enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens.

Loving survivors include twin sons, David (Tracy) Leine of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Daryl Leine of Jackson, who passed away Sept. 4, 2019; four grandchildren, Megan, Matthew and Michael Leine of Lake St. Louis and Lauryn Leine of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau

The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate a memorial service at noon Friday at the church, immediately followed by military rites. Doyle will be laid to rest privately with Margie at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
