SIKESTON -- Doyel Eugene Starr, 46, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born June 20, 1948, at Clarkton, son of Bert D. and Thelma L. Ham Starr. He and Brenda F. Brown were married Nov. 9, 1978, in Sikeston.
Starr was a dispatcher with Friendly Cab in Sikeston. He moved to Sikeston 25 years ago from Bell City.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeffrey Gunter of Sikeston; two daughters, Sheila Gunter of Charleston, Jamie Blissett of Sikeston; his mother, Thelma Ivie of Sikeston; two brothers, Harold Starr of Gary, Ind., Donnie Starr of Pascagoula, Miss.; two sisters, Geraldine Buckley of Sikeston, Freedia Heath of Crystal Lake, Ill., and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marvin Butrum officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
