Douglas Harold Stevens, 65, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 15, 1934, at Cascade, son of James Dorse and Rilla Marie Alexander Stevens. He and Irene Stiern were married Feb. 20, 1960, at St. Louis. Stevens was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Southeast Claims Association and the Jaycees. Douglas Harold Stevens, 65, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at his home.

He was born Oct. 15, 1934, at Cascade, son of James Dorse and Rilla Marie Alexander Stevens. He and Irene Stiern were married Feb. 20, 1960, at St. Louis.

Stevens was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Southeast Claims Association and the Jaycees. He retired in 1996 after 36 years with the GAB Business Service Inc.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Scott Stevens of Denver, Colo. and Daniel Stevens of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters, Jeanne Rothermel of Fenton and Dianna Angle of Calvert City, Ky.; a brother, Paul Stevens of Arnold; a sister Almeta Houston of Marble Hill; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. John Englehart officiating.

Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
